About SocialGraber

A free, no-nonsense video downloader built for everyday people.

What SocialGraber Does

SocialGraber is a free online tool that lets you download videos from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, Reddit, Twitch, Pinterest, Dailymotion and hundreds of other sites. No app to install, no account to create, no payment required. You paste a link, pick your quality, and the file goes straight to your device.

We support everything from 360p up to 4K video, plus MP3 audio extraction for YouTube. Whatever the platform offers, we show you every available option.

Why We Built This

The idea came from a simple frustration. We wanted to save a YouTube tutorial to watch offline during a commute, and every tool we tried was either buried under fake download buttons, required signing up for something, or quietly installed a browser extension. None of them just worked.

So we built SocialGraber. A clean tool with one job: take a video URL and give you the file. No tricks, no upsells, no watermark stamped on your video.

The site is run by a small independent team based in Pakistan. We are not a big company. We are developers who use tools like this ourselves, which is why we care about keeping it fast, honest and free.

How It Works — The Technical Side

When you paste a video URL, our server sends a request to the source platform to retrieve the available video formats. This is the same request your browser makes when you load the video player — we just expose the direct stream URLs instead of playing them in a browser window.

We display every quality option the platform makes available. When you click a format, the video file streams from the platform's servers directly to your device through our proxy. We do not store a copy on our servers — the file goes straight to you.

For MP3 extraction, we download the audio stream and run it through a server-side conversion process. The resulting file is a standard MP3 that works in any audio player. The whole process typically takes 5–15 seconds depending on file size and server load.

Supported Platforms

Our primary supported platforms are:

If your platform is not listed, paste the URL anyway using the Auto Detect option. Our system supports a wide range of sites beyond the ones we list by name.

Quality Options

Quality depends on what the original uploader chose. For YouTube you typically get 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p, 1440p and 4K. For Instagram and TikTok the original upload quality is usually 1080p. We always show every available option so you can choose what fits your device and storage.

Our Approach to Privacy

We do not ask for your email address. We do not create user accounts. We do not track what you download. The only data we collect is standard server log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and uptime monitoring. We do not sell this data to anyone.

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and Google AdSense to display ads that help cover server costs. Both services have their own privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.

Legal Use and Copyright

SocialGraber is a technical tool. It fetches publicly available video streams — the same streams your browser loads when you watch a video online. We do not host, store or distribute any video content ourselves.

What you do with a downloaded file is your responsibility. Saving a video to watch offline on your own device is the intended use. Uploading someone else's content to another platform, selling it, or using it in commercial projects without the rights holder's permission is a copyright violation — regardless of which tool you used to download it.

If you are a rights holder and believe your content is being misused, contact us at contact@socialgraber.com. We take these requests seriously and respond promptly.

Our Goal

Keep it simple. Keep it free. Keep it working. We show a small number of ads to cover server costs, and everything else stays free. No premium tier, no subscription, no paywall — ever.

Troubleshooting

Why Does YouTube Sometimes Fail?

YouTube actively works to block third-party downloaders. We use multiple fallback methods, so if a download fails on the first attempt, try again — it usually works on the second. If you keep hitting errors, the most common fix is trying a different quality option.

Why Is a Platform Not Working?

Platforms update their systems regularly, which can temporarily break compatibility. We monitor for issues and push fixes as fast as we can. If something is broken, let us know and we will look into it.

Contact Us

We read every message. If you find a bug, a platform that is not working, or have a suggestion, reach out at contact@socialgraber.com or use our contact page. We typically respond within 24–48 hours.
